My Journey – Climbing for a Brighter Future

Mar 17, 2024 | Soulful Exploration

Growing up, I was always the quiet one in my family, preferring to keep the peace rather than stir up trouble. But despite my efforts to blend in and maintain harmony at home, I never quite felt like I belonged. The culture, the people, even my own parents – nothing seemed to resonate with me. What’s interesting was that my family envisioned a conventional life for me, raising a family with a picket fence because of my introverted personality as a child, while my sister, who was extraverted, rebelled against authority and followed the exact opposite path, ending up creating a family and living the life my family had envisioned for me. This indicates that how people act doesn’t always reflect their true selves, especially as children.

I learned early on to create my own bubble, one where I could escape the lies and inconsistencies I saw around me. It wasn’t until I turned eighteen that I truly began my journey to freedom. I made rapid changes, leaving behind the religious upbringing I had known and embracing a secular lifestyle. From my clothes to my friends, everything underwent a transformation as I sought to break free from the constraints of my childhood.

But freedom came with its own set of challenges. Living in a household where emotions were often ignored left me emotionally detached, shielded from hurt but also unable to fully connect with others. It took me years to realize that my carefree approach to life had a darker side – one that prevented me from experiencing the depth of love and human connection.

I thought I was free but living in such a restricted environment ingrained in me a fear of losing control. This fear shaped my views on wealth, for example, as power, leading me to avoid relationships that threatened my independence. It took years to break free from these rooted beliefs and embrace the idea that true freedom comes from within.

My message here is that life is a journey. We are shaped by our childhood experiences, whether we’re aware of it or not. We carry our hidden traumas with us, often not understanding why we face certain challenges. The key is to explore our past, uncover the root of our struggles, and evolve. Even in seemingly perfect homes, one can carry traumas from school, friends, or unnoticed remarks. To live a better life, we have to look inward, understand our repetitive patterns, and decode our old habits.

Fortunately, in this era of rapid change, dismantling past issues is more accessible than ever. We can let go of our past without spending years of going through cosmic lessons. If you find yourself experiencing emotional or physical challenges, take time for self-reflection. Disconnect from external distractions and spend time in nature. Meditate, connect with your inner self, and trust that all the answers lie within. Your spiritual guides are always with you; just simply surrender, ask, pray, and be open to receiving messages. Find time to do it daily, and you will be amazed by the answers you receive—whether through repeating numbers, dreams, a song lyric, a phone call, or even your own thoughts. The key is to open your heart and be aware of the messages that come your way. Evolving is crucial now more than ever.
